What are Esports?
Esports are, in a nutshell, competitive video games! The same way a football or volleyball team might practice and compete, so too does an Esports team. Esports is an amazing way for students to be part of a team, learn group dynamics, build skills, and potentially even earn scholarships to compete for a college if they have the skills! Here at MVPAZ, we plan to get in on the Esports action within the Stride Esports league this fall!
Students of all ages for chess, and students aged 13 and up who meet the requirements may join the team to practice and compete against other schools in our network. Signups for the Fall 2021 season close on August 31st at 5:00 PM, but we will have signups for Spring of 2022 open later this year! If you have questions about the Esports Team please email Coach K at kyazbell@mvpaz.org.
THE LEAGUE
MVPAZ competes Stride K12 Esports League, where students will play against other Stride school athletes from around the country. This will give students the opportunity to test their skills against their peers in a private Stride sponsored league. Students will have opportunities to play against 20+ Stride Schools across the country!
Sign up to join the MVPAZ Esports Team for the Spring of 2022
