Club Information and Signups

MVPAZ is excited to host various clubs within our program for students of all ages. Each club is led by an MVPAZ staff member and has scheduled meetings for club members. These clubs are a great way to learn new skills, pursue a passion or interest, or even spend time with others interested in the same things as you. If you want to join, use the sign up button so you can get started!

Elementary School Clubs

Acts of Kindness (AOK) Club K - 5th Grade

Description: The A.OK Club focuses on how one little act of kindness can improve the world around you. We will be meeting to gather a list of acts of kindness we can do in our own communities and sharing the results as a whole group! Together, we can change our world for the good!

Fantasy Club  K - 5th Grade

When: Last Tuesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:00 PM


Description: Come and let your imagination go wild! Each month we will explore different kinds of fantasy depending on the interest of the club members. Some possible topics could include Anime, Legos, dinosaurs and art. Students can create your own creatures and then in groups make up stories using each student’s character. Maybe students can join a world and build things using your imagination or play games. It should be lots of fun so come check it out! First meeting will be on Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 3:00-4:00 pm. Friendship Club - 1st-3rd Grade

Description: Friendship Club is a place where all are welcome! Do you want to make more online friends? Would you be interested in Getting to Know you Games? How about learning new ways to make and keep friends? If yes, please join us!

Drama Club 3rd - 8th Grade

Description: Do you want to improve your skills at thinking on your feet? Be part of a close knit community? Join the Drama Club and become a master of improv, bond with the team, and perform for your peers online. Students will learn skills such as singing, dancing, and acting. They will also study improv theory and practice. Students will apply creativity, stage presence, and most importantly teamwork! Students will participate in a variety of theater activities, including: improv, musical performance, performance critiques, and potential viewing parties (online).

Art Club 3rd - 5th Grade

When: First Friday of each month from 3:00-4:00 pm

Description: Do you love to art? Art club is for elementary students who love being creative. We will use tempera paint, watercolors, oil pastels, and pens to create masterpieces. This is a fun club where creativity is encouraged!

Book Club 4th - 5th Grade

Description: Do you love to go on adventures, explore new places, or to read about interesting characters? Do you love to read books as much as I do? Did you know that some of your favorite movies are also books? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then join me for Book Club. We will be reading some books that were turned into movies and discussing them. For example, the Harry Potter Series, Percy Jackson Series, A Series of Unfortunate events, but not limited to those.

National Elementary Honors Society 4th - 5th Grade

When: 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 3:00 - 3:30pm

Description: National Elementary Honor Society is a group of student leaders who learn valuable life lessons, which recognize the importance of personal responsibility and community service. We will accept applications for membership from 4th and 5th graders beginning in August 2021 and hold an induction ceremony in September 2021. Members will be invited to club meetings twice a month where we will discuss service projects, scholarship, responsibility, and leadership.

Current Events Club 6th - 8th Grade

Description: Would you like to learn more about what's going on in the world around us? Join the Current Events Club! We will meet virtually on the last Tuesday of every month from 4-5pm, and all 6-8th graders are welcome to join! Emphasis will be placed on recent news in the areas of science, technology, art, culture, nature, and sports.

Anime Club 6th - 12th Grade

Description: The anime club meets to share and discuss anime. Come enjoy anime and learn about different shows, discuss it with your friends, and gain a better understanding of Japanese culture. The Anime Club is a student led organization, which means our students are in charge! If you are interested in being a club leader please reach out to Mr. Avalos through email.

Forensics Club 6th - 12th Grade

Description: Back by popular demand, the Forensics club is reopening for the school year! The first meeting will be an opportunity to discuss club leadership opportunities and what the club will do and explore in the world of Forensics and true crime. Forensics is the application of science and scientific techniques in the areas of crime. This club is a great fit for students interested in careers in forensics or true crime fans!

Spanish Club 6th - 8th Grade

When: 4th Tuesday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 PM

Description: We'll be using Duolingo for part of each session. There will be a lot of conversation. You'll learn basic, everyday vocabulary and greetings, play games like scavenger hunts and bingo (Go find a calcetine!), and some cultural knowledge such as how to address people who are your age versus those who are considered your elders. If you already know Spanish or are taking the elective class, you can hang out and improve your skills while cheering on your peers who want to learn. Description: The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. NJHS students and their peers volunteer in their communities at the highest rates and make connecting with and serving within the community a priority.
